DADT
So it is now law, Don't ask, Don't tell. I have no opinion one way or the other regarding this ruling because I thank ALL who wish to serve this great country, regardless of your sexual orientation. What I don't understand is, if it is "don't ask don't tell" who is breaking the law by asking and telling? And shouldn't those who are breaking the law then be prosecuted? If you are gay and you serve or wish to serve, My hat is off to you. Thank you and Godspeed. But serve with honor and serve with destinction. The law say "don't ask(which means do not ask if some is gay) and don't tell"(which means that if someone does ask if you are gay, do not tell them) It seems quite simple to this feeble mind. I am not a supporter of gay rights and I would fight right alongside every gay serviceman to defend this nation. It's don't ask don't tell, so do your job and do it in the service of this country. And don't break the law. Instead of don't asks don't tell we should rename the law"Shutup and serve" because really, most people do not care if you are gay or not. What most people object to is that it must be made a focus of everything. That's when you lose me. So shut up and serve! And I mean that with the utmost of respect.

Veterans Day
November 11th, Veterans Day in the Ole US of A. I was talking with a neighbor the other day and the subject of Veterans Day came up. He stated how how his kidswere looking forward to the "holiday". I of course, in my own seldom asked for opinion, corrected my neighbors slip of the tongue and stated that Veterans Day is not a "holiday" it is an observance, a day of comemoration. It is a day we gladly set aside to honor our Veterans from all walks of life, whether their service was in time of war or not. Anyone who wears the uniforms knows full well that at a moments notice they may be called upon to sacrifice their freedom and their life to insure that others can live free. So in America we set aside November 11th as a day to recognize the Bravery, the Honor, the Sacrifice, and the unselfish love of Country these great men and women represent. Without such men and women where would this great Nation be today? Make a commitment to thank a vet on November 11th, and also call your local VFW post just to say thank you. Let them know you care. And begin to live out Veterans Day everyday. When you see a uniformed service person, shake their hand and say thanks. You will be amazed at what that does. Also say thank you to those married to service personnel, they are just as much military as their spouse, and without them holding things together on the homefront, there is no way the soldier, sailor, airman, coast guardsman or marine could function properly. So observe Veterans Day as more than just a day off of school/work, commemorate it as a day of honor to our servicemen and women and their families. And say a prayer for all those serving and who have served. We are a great nation because of them, and we will remain a great nation because of them. So to all who have worn the uniform may I say"Thank you! and God Bless you, be at ease soldier, we hold your family in our arms as you hold the freedom of this nations in yours". God Bless America

We have spoken!
So, November 2nd has come and gone(midterm elections for those wondering, what?) The people of America have spoken, and they have loudly insisted on an end to big Government. This is obvious to anyone looking at the results of the election with an open mind and no agenda. The Republicans in the House had a pickup of 63 seats(not done by either party since 1934, review history to see why.) In the Senate, Republicans picked up 7 seats(not as dramatic as first thought, but big none the less) Republicans were given control over the majority of State houses and Governorships(including those long held as Democrat bastions) A quick look at the political map will show 95% of the states now Red(red=republican/blue=democrat). How and why did this happen you wonder? This happened because Americans, many who have been uninterested and turned off during the election cycle, have become inspired and concerned over the direction our country has taken the last few years. And have become informed and involved. They have taken a stand for our Democratic Republic and decided that enough is enough, it's time to get our house in order. To put up or get out. The perverbial sleeping giant has been awakened. It is now our responsibility to stay awake and to stay informed and involved. As to why this happened, It is obvious to anyone looking at the results of this election with an open mind and no agenda, that this was a clear repudiation of the Presidents agenda.(not the President! simply his agenda!!) Americans have stated firmly we do not won't government control of our lives, we do not want government run health care,we do not wish to bailout failing companies favored by a few in Washington, we do not want to be ignored when we speak simply because you may not agree with what we say, we do not want our Constitution dismantled. We want a Government standing "For the people, by the people and with the people" The results of this election does not say,"Democrats bad, Republicans good" what is says is, "It's not working, and we have asked you to listen to us but you refused, so banished to your room for now until you learn your lesson" The cry a few years ago was "Change" well we are crying again and the cry is still "Change" and so we did. And if we continue to be ignored and mocked we will also throw you out on your butts. So listen up Washington. We sent you there to restore American exceptionalism, to restore Honor, to restore freedom,to restore our Constitution and to abide by its principles, We sent you to Washington to be our voice. Not to make nice with others, not to compromise our principles but to fight to the death for our principles. And if that is too much to ask, well then step aside, there are many who believe that is a small thing to ask. "I regret that I have but 1 life to give for my country" "We pledge our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor" The question to those we sent to Washington, Are theses words you know and understand? Are these words you are willing to live by? If not, we made the wrong choice, if so then stand beside us and stand up for America.

October Surprise!!
Well, with just over 30 days left before (hopefully) the greatest voter revolt in American history. We must all begin to prepare ourselves for what will undoubtedly become the headlines. "Republicans desire to hijack Social Security!", "RNC involved in sex coverup!", "Republicans secretly craft plan to not allow blacks to hold public office" Republicans vow to deport anyone with a hint of mexican blood running through their veins" And lets not forget the ever popular, "Republicans want old people to die!" Oh, but don't forget the November surprise either. "Voting machine malfunction causes 1000's of black voters to become disenfranchised!" "Ballots found to be tainted" "In some precincts voters told they are no longer registered and must wait until next year" And lets not forget, "Busload of Democrat voters runs out of gas on way to polls, never making it to cast their vote" Now the amazing thing is that, alot of people will read of these things and actually believe them. But, I really should not be too surprised, there are still those who believe Elvis is still alive somewhere in Nashville. And the National Enquire is the Nations newspaper of choice. It never seems to amaze me how people will stick their heads in the sand for 350 days of the year and be oblivious to the world around them or for that matter, the goings on in their own neighborhood. And suddenly pull it out in time to read the above headlines and believe them. Now I do not mind if you choose to have your head in the sand. What I mind, is that you decide to pull it out. Either stay informed and involved or not. Those who will go to the polls and cancel out my informed vote on the basis of what they heard on their local news or read in the paper yesterday is troubling to me. I contend that anyone who casts a vote based on anything they have heard from a candidate within the last 120 days before an election is somewhat casting a vote based on half truths and misguided information. You want to be an informed and educated voter? Cast your vote based on the record of those you are voting for, and conduct your own fact finding mission. Do not rely on the say so of your family, friends or neighbors or those running for office. Afterall, when was the last time you saw a commercial from a candidate saying, "Yes it is true, I do think I know better than you. And I will take your money and spemd it on my own pet projects, but trust me, it's for your own good" I am not trying to sway your vote one way or another. Although I have my preferrances. I am only asking you to stay informed, vote based on true facts & record. Not what they say while running for office. I am a HUGE Reagan and Bush fan, but I can fill pages with issues I disagreed with them on and wrote to them about at the time. There is no perfect candidate because there is no perfect people. So all that to say "GET READY FOR THE OCTOBER SURPRISE!" and then ask yourself, if this is so important to bring out now, why did you wait til now? If you had the good of the American people in mind, wouldn't it have been better to let us know right away? Oh, I see now. If I my kid is dying I should wait til the last minute, before I take them to the doctor. That way the Dr. will believe me and know just what to do. Oh how stupid do these politicians think you are? But even more, how often do we prove them right in their assesment of our intelligence?

Always Remember!
Today is the 9th anniversary of the horrific attacks on this great Nation. May we all take a moment and reflect. May we also lift our prayers to our Creator for the loved ones of those killed on this day 9 years ago. Many great stories of bravery, heroism, valor and American Pride came from that day and the days and months following. May we also lift thanks to God for giving us such great and awesome men and women who in the face of complete chaos react without regard to selfpreservation to helptheir fellow man. Our leaders deserve our thanks for standing together at a time of great peril and confusion and marshalling the forces needed to combat and respond to the unprovoked attack. I still am moved to the core each time I reflect on the greatness of our military and the amazing job they do in protecting each of us. I thank all who signed up to serve in response to the attacks. True American Heroes each and every one!! There are some who would say we must move past what happened and erase it so as not to embolded our enemy. I say they are wrong!! We must never forget and we must always be diligent to hunt down and destroy ALL responsible for the deaths of our countryman. Remember, it was an attack unprovked. It is now and should always be our obligation to root out evil wherever it exists and destroy it. America is the last vestiage of Hope and Freedom in this world. Those who died on this day 9 years ago deserve our commitment to bring their killers to justice. May the flag of Freedom wave high and bright today and everyday, May we stand United as Americans. May we unleash our military might on ALL who seek to repeat the acts of 9 years ago. And may we not give in to political correctness. May we kick ass and ask questions later. And may we honor the folks who keeps us safe. Standup for this Country or GET THE HELL OUT!!!

Under the Liberty Tree
Today is Labor day here in the United States, It is also the perverbial kickoff to the election season. And what an election we have coming. It is surely "the" most important election in my lifetime(I am 50) This election will decide whether or not America remains strong, vibrant, secure, and FREE. This election will determine if our future is bright and promising or if we give over control of our lives to our Government. During our last election we heard the mantra "Hope and Change" I ask you, how's that working for you? Too many of us want it easy. We want to have things handed to us without having to earn it. We have not really experienced tough times when compared to the generations that went before us. So when struggle and strife come our way, we instantly cry foul. I hope, I pray we all go to the polls this November and put aside our whiney, gimme gimme, I want it all NOW and for FREE attitude. And we standup and stand proud for American greatness. That we vote for people who have stood in the trenches and fought for freedom, and stood alone at times to shout the warning cry to all Americans. Do not vote for those who promise pie in the sky utopian dreams. Do not vote for those who until recently stood against freedom by casting votes for things such as,Healthcare overhaul, Expanded Government,The last Supreme Court Justice, Open borders,Arizona's right to enforce its laws, and now suddenly they have had a change of heart. Not in truth, only really because they want your vote and they think you are so stupid and forgetful that they can fool you into think they have "Seen the errors of their ways" Hogwash! Throw them out on their A_ _! I do not care what side of the isle they are on. In fact all the more if they are of my party (Republican) and I am only a Republican because in Nevada they do not have a Conservative party, otherwise I would be gone yesterday. Let those in Washington and those who aspire to be there know that you are not the idiot they think you are. Show them that their reign of destruction is over. Send them home and send them home with no doubt that your choice was absolute! I am a christian and I personally blame the church in America for the way the election went last time. Instead of voting for religious freedom, life for all, in and out of the womb, hard work and sacrifice, we christians decided to turn our backs on our beliefs and vote for "Hope and Change" we voted for persecution, death in the womb, gimme gimme gimme, This time you can correct your mistake. You can take back your country and turn back to God. He is our "Hope and Change" There is no other. Church, standup and get off your butt and get on your knees! I urge every freedom loving American to vote for American values and that may mean you go against your party, but it isn't about party. It is about America! Get informed, not by what they say, but by what they HAVE done and How they have voted. Judge them by their record, not their rhertoric. Remember "they lie" and they think you are stupid. Show them how wrong they are.
